2 pounds ground beef (turkey or chicken)
11⁄2 cups brown basmati rice
1⁄2 cup barley
garlic (fresh or granulated)
1 cup chopped parsley
1–16oz frozen chopped veggies
meat broth (made from meat/bones): bones (eg. chicken wings, soup bones, chicken thighs, etc.)
2 quarts of water
1. Cook bones in 2 quarts of water to make broth
2. Remove bones, pulling the meat from the bones and putting back into the broth
3. Add ground meat, basmati rice, barley, garlic, and parsley— simmer until everything is cooked and tender
4. Add water if needed; it should be moist, but not runny when done
5. Add thawed veggies and stir (DO NOT cook the veggies as the heat from the mixture will be enough to blend them into the dog food)
6. Serve in portions based on your dog’s size and needs.
